I have modified the title of my site still it displays an older one in google search.
How to make changes so that it appears in google search

Where have you made the change, and did you try "Fetch as Google" in GWT to get them to look at a fresh copy?

Have you checked your server access logs to see if googlebot has requested that page?
Does google have a cached version of that page?
If so, does the cached date precede the title change?
Regardless of your change, google might prefer your old title.

googlebot is accessing the home page still it displays older title.

ys, but the title is the new one in that cache page

yahoo and bing display the title tags correctly. only google is displaying differently

I changed the title and now it shows in google.
Prior to that the title was like this

x | x - name
and google was displaying only x but bing and yahoo displayed correctly
