think any weight is given to Webmaster tools verification?

wondering thoughts on total amount of sites verified on both / or either Google Webmaster Tools ....and Bing Webmaster Toolbox.

For instance, if you own 20+ domains...and verify them on both of the sites above...if any minor weight is added to all your sites in general, just for owning so many ?

thought about it today, but doubt we'll hear anything official on this ?

I have 46 sites verified in Google Webmaster Tools. I haven't noticed any weight being given, so if there's anything then it's minimal.

Are you suggesting that because you own 20 domains and have them all verified in Google webmaster tools that you would get a boost (however small) in your rankings?

That's how I took it, Craig.

Thinking about it, doing that would be counter-productive. Domain squatters could have thousands of domains, and if verifying them gave weight then you would see a bunch of "buy this domain" sites at the top of every search.

Seems like the barrier to entry is too low for it to be of any value in being a signal. Google isn't really getting any other information than "you have access to the servers hosting these sites".
