Hi all. I've been doing this for a long time now, and I have built up quite a few sites, some with thousands of pages. I use a lot of templates - and sometimes I make a small change not realising it's impacted on pages that i'd forgotten I even had. Just today I found some pages with errors that have probably been there for months.

What I need is some software that will help me.
Maybe something that can spider my sites looking for dead links, maybe look for spelling mistakes. Maybe look for bad code. I'm not 100% sure what I want, just something that will point out glaring errors that I've missed. Does anyone use anything like this? Any recommendations? If something is good I don't mind paying for it.

Obviously I know about google webmaster tools, but I want something else that I can run straight away after an update.

thanks all

I use Xenu to look for dead links. It's quick and seems to work well.
