Hi all,

I'm wondering if anyone knows of any collaboration software similar to Github? Rather than for coding, I'm looking for something that will allow people to collaborate on documents. I know you can sort of do this already with GitHub, but I could use something more dedicated and simplified.

It needs to be online and publicly accessible. The same as Git, people need to be able to branch off, commit, etc.

In an ideal world it would be a crossbreed of MediaWiki and Github. Is there anything like that out there?

Greatly appreciate any suggestions. :)

Did you ever find anything for this?

It sounds like you'd do fine running a SVN on your own server as an alternative. There are several well maintained, free, subversion controls out there to choose from.
