Improvement for Multiple language domains

Hello,

Q-1) I have a site that has subdomains for multiple languages. e.g. [jp.xyz.com,...] [uk.xyz.com....] Approx 12 languages i have created subdomains. What is the best way to promote all these urls? for their specific countries?

Q-2) How can I get search trend idea for country specific people?
e.g. how Chinese people search for fashion news?
how Japanese people search for fashion news?

1. I guess it is the best to set folders for each language as these value are used by Google and Microsoft.

for one, you should a create separate google webmaster tools account for each subdomain and set the geographic target of each.

it's mostly a non-google search engine world for many of the asian countries.

make sure you are properly using all the relevant HTML attributes, meta elements and HTTP Response headers for specifying language and character set.
showing location information, especially when using structured markup can help.
consider hosting subdomains local (in-country) to the target audience.
get links from and citations on sites about and hosted in the geotarget.
