Can I safely reverse redirect 301 after 24 hours?

I just did 2 redirects 301 on a couple of page, now I want the pages back.

Is it ok to reverse the 301 or too late?

Are you kidding? Google will be crawling the old URL for years to come. (This is literally true.) The only problem is that now they will be crawling the second URL as well. If it doesn't exist, you are probably better off slapping an immediate 410 on it instead of letting searchbots run around in circles.

Check your logs. Then you'll see which robots will be crawling the new URL forever afterward.

If Google has seen the change, and you reverse it, expect a dip for at least several weeks and for WMT to take several months to correctly report the change back to how things were.

If they haven't seen the original redirect yet, change it back immediately and they might never know it existed.
