Hey!
What do you think are the best tools for all of the essential functions of webmastering? I am a webmaster for a nonprofit and we've been using a software package by a company that makes products exclusively for nonprofits. However, we're tired of being boxed in by a closed-source, slow, hard to do testing, difficult to customize software package. We're ready to make the leap to a new toolkit! And I want your feedback.

We're already using and somebody has recommended the following tools:
    Content Management - Joomla
    Email - MailChimp
    Analytics - Google Analytics
Onsite A/B testing and page optimization - Google Webmaster Tools
    SEO - Sitebeam and/or SEOmoz
Social Optimization - JitterJam (not quite sure we need this one)

One other thing that I know we need is a good personal fundraising platform. We do a race every year where people solicit donations/sponsors for the race. We'll need a good tool for that.

Thanks for your feedback on this list or providing your own ideas!

I tend to use a common platform for webmastering and then develop code based on it. Sometimes 3rd party tools are useful and can be integrated with the same platform so everything is in one place. I use the oscommerce MS2.2 as the base platform and then develop code on it with PHP. When necessary I setup interfaces with third party providers and communicate the necessary information.
