More SOPA Nonsense

...only foreign websites are pirates

Everything I read about the SOPA arguments keeps referring to foreign websites as being the piracy culprits.

Even Google's page that outlines their viewpoint on the SOPA issues says:

There are effective ways to combat foreign “rogue” websites dedicated to copyright infringement and trademark counterfeiting,


So is this whole saga based on the premise that only those pesky dang [insert country of choice here] websites need to be controlled..... but not USA sites because they aren't foreign.

Please tell me I'm missing something here.... to present arguments for or against SOPA and imply that only non - USA sites would be targetted is probably the most USA centric twaddle I've seen in many a long year.

i think the "argument" for SOPA is that US-based content providers have legal recourse to protect their IP rights against US-based sites but they also want a technical recourse (DNS) to take down the foreign "rogues".
