event planning/party promotion-- can you recommend a platform?.

Hi guys,

Im being asked to develop an event planning and party promotion site that offers a calender of events, photo gallery, advertising management and bulletin board. some areas should be open to public while others members only. also a way to send and respond to invites and calcualte the rsvp list. I like wordpress.

any suggestions?

My first thoughts were evite dot com and meetup dot com but there are a ton of web 1.0 sites with similar offerings.

try site2you website builder.. they can customize the site for you on request.. you haven't even need to login to admin panel to build a website :)
