I went to their about page and found they have an astonishing 80 million visitors a month, so how much would they be making roughly?

They have an Alexa of around 100 which probably makes them the largest content oriented site out there.

I would think they make a lot, but it's hard to say. They probably have a big office with quite a few employees, which means they have to cover health benefits, 401k, etc.
I don't think anyone here will really know for sure since AFAIK, they aren't a public company. Maybe take a look at Demand Media's numbers since they are filing for IPO and they have a similar model

They are owned by Demand Media (DM), actually. Found that out a few months ago, to my surprise, in an article somewhere. Maybe it was on Wired or Techcrunch?
If I am remembering correctly, the revenue figure given for DM as a whole was around $200+ million/year (at the time), with eHow bringing in a lot of the traffic.
I also remember that they (DM) are/were a large domain registrar and one of the highest performers on YouTube (YT). I think there was some sort of partnership formed between DM and YT (Google) because of their performance.
In other words, I'd say, even though it's alot, it's hard to guess how much eHow, on it's own, is generating revenue-wise.
