Question about Blogging and backlink value?

Hi!
I’m trading blog posts w/ some people I know for link juice, but some of these blogs are hosted by wordpress, blogspot, etc. I don’t see “no follow” code on the blogs, but am concerned about their backlink value. Is it worth getting a link from a blog hosted by one of these sites, or not so much.
I would be very grateful for any advice I can get.

if the sites are relevant and the links refer traffic i would consider them to be valuable backlinks.

Stop chasing page rank and start chasing traffic.

As pharanque says, look for links that real people are going to follow.
