Cuil is officially dead.

I'll miss the laughs we shared

The much hyped Google killer has closed up shop overnight without even a goodbye.

So long Cuil, with your awful search results and even worse automated article creator, you always brightened my day.

For a while they had something, but as they evolved they became a lot less relevant.

I actually found a use for Cuil a few months back. Don't ask why, but I actually needed to find some dodgy sites. I knew the areas to look in but the Google results were still too clean of hacked servers and pages on the search I ran. Cuil gave me the dodgy results I needed.

(I had to go to page 2 though, everything on page 1 was out of date and had been cleaned up by the site owners. Cuil was almost too bad to give bad results!)
