Hosting & distributing free content with license requirements

Software solution - zip, installer, website, or...?

I want to distribute some free (price wise) content, specifically some 3D CAD files, from our commercial website. A support freebie.

For various ugly legal reasons it is a good idea to require the user to accept that we're not responsible for any consequences of their use of this content.

So I need to have some sort of software EULA in place, I believe that simply requiring the user to input the statement to the effect they agree is adequate, as with all normal software installs we're used to.
However, an installer program seems massive overkill - and platform specific, short of looking at supposedly cross-platform Java solutions. I need something effective on Windows & Mac.

Are there any obvious solutions to this issue. Any facility in zip or rar et al?

Or do we just end up with the ubiquitous "I accept the above T&C" tick-box on the download page?

I would do the download license agreement tick-box, include the license in the zip file, and also consider including a shrink-wrap license notice on the content itself such as "the use of this content constitutes agreement to abide by the T&C at <web address>" just in case people pass it around after downloading it.

That's the inevitable conclusion I guess, problem is I wanna stick the content on a Mediawiki page, which makes the tick-box part a bit tricky, and temporary URLs impossible I think making hot-linking direct to the archive file an issue. Drat.
