Hey everyone,

Below I have included some of our analytics for our site and was wanting to get some broad feedback regarding the numbers. i.e. Are they above/below average? Does the conversion seem right for the amount of traffic? etc etc.

We are an online travel agency, most of our traffic comes through AdWords. Our conversions are made by people making enquiries through our site.

Our stats over the last month are as follows:
Unique Visits: 14,194
Bounce Rate: 39.91%
Ave Time on site: 00:05:37
% New visits: 70%
Conversion Rate: 12.58%

Looking forward to your thoughts.

Regards

How have your anaytics calculated your conversion rate? is it people who bought? or people who enquired?

Other than that, your bounce rate looks a little like mine did, (too high) why if people are clicking on your adwords are they so quickly bouncing out again once they see your site. It could be that your ads are showing for search terms that are not really suitable for you, or that they are on display on sites that are not really suitable for you. Punters will still click on the off chance it costs them nothing, but it costs you.

Netmeg on here pointed me to an adwords report you can run called search query performance (I believe it was) that lists all the search terms people were looking under when they clicked your ad. It can be an eye openner.

Also there is another report for the content network, also worth running you can see all the sites that people were on when they clicked your ad.

Hope that helps.

Thanks, some good insight there. Our enquiries are calculated on an enquiry basis, as we cannot have people buying products before availability is confirmed. We recently revamped our site and saw the bounce rate drop between 10-20%. I will check into the suggested items and see if anything stands out.

Thanks
