In checking a client site that had been hijacked, the index file has a meta I don't remember having it before. The tag reads:
<meta name="bogusgoogle-site-verification" content="1dywYfQEp-9eNNiv44shH2AoVbSxjOXTJEiZU53XraI" />

Trouble is, it's not a "bogus" site. Just what is the Meta tag supposed to do? Is it a Google thing, or something else?

Thanks for reading this, and especially if you answer :)

I suspect it is something injected by the site hijacker so that they can pick up on sites their bots hijacked.
