Trouble uploading files to site

I've been intermittently trying to upload new files into my miva 4.24 store for a couple of days now with marginal success. some days,like today I got 5 files to upload. yesterday nothing. I can't even ftp the files to the server, error is connection timed out. I've tried different computers with different OS's, different browsers, different FTP clients, I can up/download from other sites without issue so I'm thinking that it's not a network issue, although I've been wrong before. I'm stumped, need some help on this one. file upload was working before. Host support seems to be stumped also.

Hello Zhoom,

if you can upload from other computers, but not your own it means something is wrong with:
- your computer software (viruses, firewall etc)
- your hardware (faulty network card, broken cable, faulty DLS modem, your provider plugged you into bad socket)

If you can upload to other sites, above issues could apply to your remote hosting.

Tools to use:
- antivirus scanner
- telnet to FTP port
- ping
- tracert/traceroute

Also make sure remote host has enough disk space, right filesystem permissions, quota not exceed etc.

I had a similar thing occur where I could ftp into the sites with the exception of one, it turned out my router needed to be reset.

Thanks for the help ! Things are a little better today, but not giving an all clear yet. I think level 3 the the cleveland area is having Router issues. We'll see.
