Need some advice please from people more experienced with this side of development. (I'm a designer by trade).
I'm starting a project for a client which will involve a website which offers pay-per-view videos.
Although I am perfectly confident with building the site, adding the video, creating a payment gateway and building a members area, I'm stuck when it comes to email marketing.
What I want to achieve is:
1. Users visit site and watch a taster video.
2. They are then instructed to add email address to register, and then get link sent to them which dircets them to the main video site (where they pay to view the full 2 hour video).
The Email part:
If they register their email, I would like the ability to then send an auto-email regularly (for example if they register but don't buy the video), to be automated on a weekly basis until they buy.
How can I do this? I have looked at systems such as aWebber and Mailchimp, but unsure if this will be possible with these programs.
I don't know if anyone has used Traffic Geyser, but it's similar to a system they use to 'sell' their services by maintaining a consitstent email marketing service.
Any advice?
you should consider the trust issues before implementing your own email blast.
if you have a large number of emails being sent from your own domain you might want to look at this thread:
