Hi Webmaster World,
I have, for example, several colors of widgets: red, green, blue, and yellow. To get a widget quote or buy one online, you interact with an application (a cross-domain page) in an iframe on a subsequent page.

On that subsequent page, the iframe takes up most of the content space in my page template; there's limited room for widget-specific text there. Therefore, I put the widget-specific content on the widget-specific pages, and they link to a common iframe page for the quote/purchase.

From an SEO perspective, is that best practice? E.g., to have those separate pages -- one for red widgets, another for blue widgets, etc. -- and have users click through to the same "online widget application" page? Or would it be best to have individualized "online widget application" pages, even though I would embed the same iframe address on those pages.

Thank you for reading!

Welcome to WebmasterWorld ChipD.

If I understand what you're trying to do it does sound like you're on the right track. You'd certainly want a page that could be linked to that had some text about the respective widget. You probably wouldn't want your application pages indexed.
