ok, now i can admit that i have downloaded a free css template or two in my time of designing... mainly when i was learning CSS...had to get the basics down.

that was about 3 years ago...

when i would surf all of the sites looking for something that i could modify myself and make it custom...

do you know what i noticed today, as i was surfing for inspiration this morning?

THE SAME FREAKING TEMPLATES ARE STILL OUT THERE.

Seriously? the same templates that i started using years ago are still there...

some are still on the same home page of the sites as the "featured template"

good lord people.. move on ...

its grose... all of the outdated crap that is floating around out there...

My site has had a similar design/look and feel for about 10 years now. Folks get use to it and like it... Whenever we have tried to roll out a new look, we get bombarded with requests to go back to the old design.

We have since adopted the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" frame of mind... =)

im not referring to a existing site that is in production, as you has for several years.

i am talking about these "template" shops that say they have the hottest templates around... and they have been there for years.

its like the site got abandon and is just chillin making adsense change...

oswd.org stopped updating, I am kinda curious what happened.

openwebdesign.org is where I look now.
