How to style your web page?

There's no way unlike myspace to style your webpage right? Is the only way to style your page through applications?

For example I want to change the cursor of the facebook page to always show "loading" or something, which can easily be down with css, do you have to build an application for that?

Can facebook applications be used to change the css on facebook or no?

I know some layout apps, but they use yontoo or something which mimick's the browser and isn't directly changing or placing css into facebook. Or i'm not sure. Anyone know?

The Facebook way has been to have a layout that is uniform across all users/profiles. By doing this they make the site as easy to use as possible. I don't think you can do a lot with an app in terms of theming the page.
