I have searched quite a lot for information about this and have been unable to find anything out about it either here or elsewhere.
We are debating various ways to serve up content online and have been looking at using some of the functionality available in Adobe Reader. However I have been completely unable to find out any sort of usage stats for this software and was wondering if someone here can point me in the right direction.
I would like to be able to find out, ideally, how many users are running Adobe Reader 8 or above as a percentage.
I don't know how unrealistic this information may be as I've never had to look into something this specific before!
Thanks in advance!
About 65% didn't have a decernable version (this may be from people who didn;t stay on the page long enough to open adobe reader)
About 3% had an older version,
32% had the current version

I suggest, that if its at all possible to use html, use it.
The trouble is we're not looking for just users on our sites but more of a general figure for the number of users using it. Due to my company's decision to go with a third party web development company we don't have access to make script changes for anything at all. So I can't use AWStats to monitor our site, we currently use Google Analytics but this doesn't track that at all.
I know I'm probably being a pain but these statistics are nigh on impossible to get!
