Ive been using netdrive to work with web files (php) and it works really well. I simply connect to the site with the stored FTP settings then edit the files and after I click save they are automatically uploaded. The problem is that netdrive assigns a drive letter for every site stored. And now Ive run out of drive letters.

I know that filezilla allows you to open and edit files but requires you to click a button to upload the file.

Is there any way to edit a file and have it auto upload after you save it?

And now Ive run out of drive letters.

You can only have 26 assigned drive letters after that Volumes created after the 26th drive letter has been used must be accessed using volume mount points, as described in Using NTFS mounted drives. Using simple volumes [technet.microsoft.com] MS TechNet

You could edit the files directly on the server. Select the file on the server, edit it locally, then when you save it's saved back to the server. That does take away some of the convenience of NetDrive.

I'm not a NetDrive user. Is there any way that you can map these sites to folders instead of drives?

netdrive does not let you use anything but drive letters. however there are different server types available
- ftp
- webdav
- ifolder

not sure what those last 2 are
