Something I never tried before...
When I ping a site from the cmd prompt, I get the assigned IP address. If I ping an inner page I get a different IP.

When I ping inner pager on multiple sites I get the same IP.
#1 www.example.com (assigned IP OK)
#2 www.example.com/index.html (A different IP)
#3 www.example2.com/index.html (same response as #2)

What am I seeing?

Maybe they have some sort of load sharing system in place.

I get the same inner IP on all sites I try, from my own to WebmasterWorld. Is it my machines, my router, The way it is supposed to be?

Just weird.

Apparently the IP is assigned to the root domain, anything else confuses the cmd prompt perhaps? Never tried it.
