100,000 uniques - one domain. That is my goal.

I have never done it, and neither have any of my friends. Has anyone here ever accomplished this. Has anyone here accomplished this?

In one day? Yes, but it's hard to maintain that high traffic consistently.

Wow! That is awesome. The furthest I got was 20 consistently. What was your 100k unique site averaging? How long did you stay at 100k for?

I have several 100k days under my belt on sites covering subjects that tend to max out at about 10k unique visitors a day, all top sites combined (mine + competition).

Some observations
- to get 100k a day every day the subject needs to be popular
- popular isn't always very profitable
- to get 100k a day regularly you'll need to offer something interesting, breaking news, awesome pictures etc.
- regular isn't always very profitable
- to get 100k a day regularly you need to be perceived as an authority site
- authority sites are profitable but require prolonged effort which doesn't always pay early on.

I'd suggest concentrating on writing articles/content that is top notch, afterall you want 100,000 people to read it and you plan on writing similar heavy hitting articles daily... right?

Bottom line, it's just a number, my most trafficked site isn't my most profitable one and I'm not alone on that front. If you set lofty goals before even being online you're bound to get frustrated.
