Not sure if this is in the right area of the forum but here goes...

I am wondering if anybody believes that using GWT and Analytics for all your sites can be a hindrance, in the sense that it shows Google all the sites you own, as well as allows them see what users are doing on the all your sites, like bounce rates and traffic and if this information somehow plays into ranking in SERPS.

I imagine that that they probably have other ways to get this info, but sometimes it feels a little close for comfort.

Thank you

A hindrance in what way? You're certainly not hindering Google in any way. They get access to all of your info when you use their services.

No I mean a hindrance to the webmasters and their websites in giving such close scrutiny to all their sites

It's a trade off. You give Google access to all of your information and they provide you services for free. Other options are certainly available, but they may not be as convenient, or as affordable.

What I am saying is that access that Google gets to all your info can that affect you in a negative way down the road? Is it better to not submit all your sites to GWT and GA?
