Web-urls in their future could be like example.com/123; just hostname and numbers. How could this affect SEO?

That's how a lot of the URL shortening services work. You could run your own link shortening service the same way.

It's less intuitive for the person looking at the link to tell where the link may be leading as it lacks keywords. However, it's no different from the links generated by the databases of large CMS platforms. I don't think this would necessarily represent a major shift in SEO on that side.
