Hello,

I've started new forum (phpbb3)
I have domain example.com but I installed forum to example.com/forum/.
I searched and found that the best way to redirect use 301 redirect. As my hosting has cPanel so I easily regirected example.com to example.com/forum/

So my question. Will robots index all pages fine? Or there will be some problems?
How long it takes?
Because there is already some backlinks in other sites to my forum. But when I type site:example.com in google I see that my forum still dind't cache.

Thanks.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld Beginer.

A properly implemented 301 Permanent Redirect should not hinder SE robots in any way.

To speed up indexing generally some links from established sites will help. You can also submit your site to the SEs manually.
