I can't seem to stick with one idea long enough. I'll build a website, get it up and going, then all of a sudden I get another idea that I'll think is even better than what I've already built and I'll have this irresistable urge to slow down development on my existing websites to pursue this new idea.

As a result, some of my websites fail to gather any real momentum and remain somewhat stagnant.

Can anyone relate to this?

I never even get that far, I have got three ideas for web sites in my head at the moment but two require research and photography on the ground and I have a day job and three existing sites to cope with already. Maybe I should register some domain names now so that I have them in hand if the present financial turmoil leaves me with a lot of time for my gardening.

Domain names can be registered for about $10.00 per year, so if you have a good idea, it's certainly worth considering registration even if you don't plan to use it immediately.

Depending on your level of knowledge, your time might be better spent learning rather than creating sites. When you know how to do things better, you may find you have better ideas. It's also worth remembering that no matter how good your ideas are, if you lack the knowledge to make them happen, they are worthless. If you get rich from one, you can employ people to turn other ideas into reality, but unless you have money already (or access to it) your first success will have to be based entirely on what you know.

Join the club. I've got oodles of domains I bought at 2am with great ideas flowing in my head. Only to let it expire a year later with nothing up :-)

The ideas are great... it is the execution which is difficult. Have ideas for hundreds of websites. In reality only put up six because they take up all my "spare" (what's that?) time as it is. :)

So yes, I CAN relate!
