Hi guys

I have a query regarding back links of any website. Can we predict number of back links will be increased after particular time?

for example
suppose i have submitted 100 links directories, pressrelease and articles (100 each) how many backlinks we ll get from it?

i think its not possible to give exact figure.

any idea?

Are you talking about backlinks as shown by Google? If so, it's impossible to answer, especially since they only show a small random sampling of links at any given time.

Chances are that if the backlinks show up at Y! then Google already knows about them and they've figured them in, but don't count on them to give any accurate assessment of a site's backlinks or a current TBPR.

You might also want to check the cache date of pages your new links are on, to get some kind of general idea whether or not they've discovered them.

When you submit your site to directories (etc.), not all will accept your submission - often, it is the ones that decline that matter; they are edited, fussy, and maybe your submission was flawed in some way.

The kind of directory that accepts every submission often results in a worthless link - their behaviour guarantees they are full of useless sites, and they quickly get a reputation for uselessness with the search engines.

I am - of course - generalizing. But my point is that it is better to seek a quality link from a quality directory, usually, than waste time and / or money submitting to a directory that accepts every spam, MFA and bad neighborhood site that submits.

Quality Trumps Quantity with links - Every Time.
