Hi, I hope anyone can please help me with this small issue:

I have 2 separate dedicated servers, and only one of them has a domain assigned and working, let's say, example.com.

I want to create a subdomain such as download.example.com and I need it to point directly and transparently to the second server, without cheap redirection tricks on the main server if possible. That is, make download.example.com resolve to an account on the secondary server.

On the main server I have DirectAdmin, and in the secondary one (the one I need to access by the subdomain URL) has ensimPro. I have full access to the admin panels on both servers.

The question is how to accomplish this effectively.

ANY help and guidance will be really appreciated, my hosting providers are not quite eager to help me.

Hi Jakotsu

So for the example.com domain your DNS is setup pointing to that server, in your DNS cp you need to setup an A recored for the subdomain which will point to the other server, example

www points to #*$!.#*$!.#*$!.111
download points to #*$!.#*$!.#*$!.222 (other server ip)

www and download are both subdomains for example.com

Thanks! I'll tell that to the server admin because I don't have access to the DNS setup for some reason.
