Auto Complete on Forms

When I go to fill out forms or other data on the internet it remembers names that I typed in a year ago. How do I get rid of this? I've cleared the browsing history, unchecked inline auto complete and I still can't get my computer to stop doing this.

Internet Explorer: From the Main Menu, Tools->Internet Options->Autocomplete->Settings, turn them off there.

FireFox: Tools->Options->Security->Passwords, looks like all it's got is "remember passwords."

If you've already tried that, it may be something on a system level - but knowing the OS, version, and browser might be helpful. :-)

Another option is when the drop down menu appears with all the previously used entries, point at the one(s) you don't want and hit delete.

FireFox: Tools->Options->Privacy->History, uncheck "Remember what I enter in forms and the search bar."
