Any Statistics on how many customers leave a site instead of Registering?

I've looked everywhere but cant' find any conclusive data as to how clients react to mandatory registration...

I know that it makes some customers leave the site, however what is the percentage?

Any research done on this?

Personally when the mandatory sign in is on the landing page before you can
proceed, I normally bail out!

I dont have any stats on it but I would hazard a guess of 35 to 45 percent
leave at that point unless they were very interested in the program/product..KF
