Are there any Text to MP3 API?

I am interested in any application, such as an API tool, where I can submit text automatically, and have outputted an mp3 file of that text that I could save to my server.

Are there any services like this?

AT&T Natural Voices might be a good solution for you. On the page for that product is a link to a research version where you can type in some text and select a voice to use. It will then send a .wav file that will play on your PC. It seems that there is also a commercial version with an API, so I imagine that you could use that to create an mp3 file. I haven't used it.

you might look into Textsound 2.0 or Better Text to Wave/MP3.
