Hi everyone ,

I need some help .

How fussy is google & yahoo with hosting issues ?

1.I know some ips are blocked : How can you ind out abou those ?
2.How fussy are the se with shared hosting ?
3. If you host in a co.uk ip range does you site only end up in .co.uk search results ?

I have the same questions about domain names : this is more to do with local search features.

1. A .co.uk site will only appear in .co.uk results
2.how do you get a co.uk to get in the mainstream .com results
I have been messing around and notice that not many if any do ?

Anyway i have lots more questions but this will do for now.

Regards

Malcolm

.co.uk sites can appear just fine in general results - but it's a bigger pond, so it's not so easy as doing well in UK-only searches.

So long as you are not sharing your IP address with a bunch of banned sites, you have no need to worry; even if you are, the risks are small, and depend on poor hosting setup.

By and large, SEs look at URLs; the exceptions don't matter to most sites.
