I am doing try and error with my nameserver setting to find a way to set the A record to make all these work:

1. example.com
2. http://example.com
3. www.example.com
4. http://www.example.com

When I typed these in a browser address line. Only 2 and 4 work.
1 and 3 cannot find my website.

I have A record set at:
@ myIPaddress
www myIPaddress

How do I get number 1 and 3 to work? Do I use Cname to do this?

That, my friend, is browser-specific. The http:// is the protocol being used and many browsers will automatically fill that part in for you if you merely type in the domain without it. This issue has nothing to do with your A record in DNS.

However, on another note, you should either use the example.com or the www. example.com version of your domain, but likely not both if they pointing to the same content.
