page count from google

Google Page count

Hi all,

I am very new to SEO. I know there are queries i can use on google to just get basic answers. do you know what I can enter into the google serach boc (the query) to get a page count for my company's website? I know it's something like url: or something like that?

a more general question- is there a directory anywhere of the differnet google queries one can just publicly run on urls?

You can run a "site:example.com" search (without quotes) to get the information you are looking for.

Google's help page on advanced operators [google.com] may also be useful.

You might also think about setting up a Webmaster Tools account.

[google.com...]

It shows more info than the search operators and throws some diagnostics and other stuff in.
