Forcing link to revert back to original window?

On my main content page I have a link that opens a new window up that displays a large photo of he product.

Under that is an add to basket button.

I would like the add to basket button to add the product but do so in the original window.

Any help guys much appreciated.

you could use some javascript in order to redirect the the main window to an "add to basket" script. something like:

onClick="window.opener.location='add_to_cart.php?pID=1'"

Also you could submit a form and target the main window.
