Wordpress Seo puzzle

Hi there..

I have just launched a wordpress blog and am wondering am I guilty of duplicate content? many blogs seem to be using the same as myself but I see this as duplicating posts 3 times,

this is my post page which is fine..

http://www.example.com/category/page-title/

this is the page that the tag cloud links to

my page duplicated here?

http://www.example.com/tag/page-title/

................................................

this is the category page.. my page is displayed here

http://www.example.com/category/page-title/

..........................................................

surely my content is duplicated 3 times? the puzzling thing is most blogs seem to do this..

Can anyone tell me if this is good or bad..

duplicate content is not a good thing.

i would recommend a look at the All-in-one SEO plugin as well as others discussed here:

Don't forget robots.txt if you're worried about dupe content.

Before you add SEO-specific plugins make sure that they are compatible with your version of WP. This can create further issues for you down the road.

All in one SEO is very heavy. You can do the basic SEO setup by hand, and the only mandatory plug in would be Add Meta Tags.
At least, that's my way of doing it. I prefer working a bit more upfront, but ensuring that the blog will load faster.
