I have a blog which is now penalized by google for having duplicate contents (with 'www' and without 'www')
So I want to redirect it using 301 redirection. My server is GFE/1.3
Does anybody know how to do this ? I am a beginner so it would be helpful if it is explained in a simple way. Thank you.

Redirection as you describe it has been discussed many times here at WebmasterWorld. A quick search on the topic [google.com] turns up quite a bit of previous discussion that should answer some of your questions.
