Where have all the humans gone?

Not all 'bots, surely?

Afternoon all..

Well, having been running my own server hosting a couple of sites for a couple of months and spending more time than usual looking through the logs, I have to ask "where are all the humans?". The sites seem to be constantly visited by bots, and presumably someone's making use of the content which I write myself.

I could be wrong, but other (potentially human) visitors seem to be few and far between, and y'know, even the hackers seem to be 'bots now :-)

So, who's reading your web site?

In some instances, only those we allow to read it. :)

I understand what you are saying too. There can be a bit too much bot activity and that is when you need to step in and do something about it.

I don't mind the good-natured bots, and as a blogger it can be a very handy way of getting content out quickly, but maybe just having a few humans would be good!
