I am almost ready to launch new site provide some service. My site needs user registration and posting form one set of users and the other set of people has to reply etc...
Without any user base How can I start. Any ideas. Can I work with my competitors . Does the competitor usually ready to do these?.
Please give me some ideas.

1) Hire a few people to start it off asking and answering.
2) Treat it like a community build features and keep people going back to your website.
3) Give prizes and things to top answerers
4) Buy a few CPM ads on some related websites
5) Post in forums, blogs and every where telling them they will find the answer to what they are looking for at your website.
6) Advertise on related websites and forums (cpm ads would work well on forums).
7) Tell family friends etc, have features that help people pass on yoru website and also bookmark it to keep going back easily.
8) Create some viral emails, videos and send them about and see what works.
9) Make sure the site is SEO friendly and build up some links from directories, related websites and etc.
