Script for a carpooling web site?

With the price of gas skyrocketing, I am considering designing a site for carpooling; however. I am not sure about the script? Can I get away with a classified script? In addition, I'd like something with validation (email etc).

Any recommendations?

I doubt you will find something generic enough. You might want to have a custom script done for you.

Thanks; however I do have two classifieds scripts and I'm confused on how to make the site? Maybe insert a "city" in place of categories (e.g. cars, etc)? The script is local [snipped] dot com.

What about a blog using wordpress?
