We have recently moved our intranet sql and web servers to a virtual server. I believe dns has been setup to redirect users from http://oldsite to the new http://newsite, but when users click on the icon it takes them to http://oldsite.

Also, if I open up a browser and type in http://oldsite, it still opens the old site and not the http://newsite.

if I run nslookup http://oldsite from command i get http://newsite.

I think we need a new CNAME record in DNS or something else.

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Thanks!

StPatrick

While you solve the issues with DNS ( or it solves itself after a day or two ), you can setup the HTTP server which serves the old site to redirect all queries to the new site.
