Customizing WebMail Client?

Is there a webmail client from which I can remove the "from" field?

I work in the finance industry. One of the most wasteful and time-consuming tasks involves replying to emails from clients who are requesting some research reports. I have a secretary who I would like to delegate this task to. However, the clients I deal with are confidential and I cannot let my secretary see their email out of legal privacy concerns.

I need a webmail client (e.g. SquirrelMail) I can install, which I can customize to remove the "FROM" field and "REPLY TO" fields in all screens. I do have CGI, mySQL, and PHP access on my web-host account.

I have taken a few PHP classes during my college years, so I can figure out minor modifications to the frontend. Could someone please point me toward a webmail client that can easily be customized to function like this? Thank you a ton in advance!

I think your best approach would be to improve your HR vetting procedures and hire a PA who is cleared to deal with these things.

welcome to WebmasterWorld [webmasterworld.com], just testing!

you may have to obscure other information in the email subject or body as well so simply changing the client won't fix everything.
why don't you simply forward the email to your secretary with the from and reply to headers deleted?
(along with other necessary edits)
the date header value should be unique enough for you to reference reports the original email.
