Is there any way of finding where my site ranks for certain keywords that I am optimising my site for or do I just have to type in the keyword in a search and go through all of the results until I find my site?

Here's what I do:

Visit your own page to make sure it shows as a different color in the results, then try checking your terms by using this search:

Hi, thanks for this - it's great for finding out where my site is on Google but it was Yahoo I was after. Is there a similar way to do this in Yahoo?

Starting at search.yahoo.com click on the Options link, then go to Preferences. Scroll down the page to Display & Layout. Select edit to change the number of displayed results to 100. You have to be signed in though, I think.
