Looking for PHP/MySQL professional qualifications

Hi all,

im not sure if this is the right place to post this or not, if not sorry.

However i have been wondering if there is a Qualification that is available for PHP/MySQl like you can get the microsoft qual's and if there is are they really worth it i am guessing yes for the training you would get whilst taking the course. but what about the value of the piece of paper afterwards.

I'm not aware of anything similar to Microsoft's certification. But do you really need it? What sort of job are you looking for? Do the job adverts in that sector require specific qualifications? Do you have a portfolio that you can use to show your depth of experience?

sorry for the delay in getting back to you all and thanks for your answers, they are very much appreciated, from what you are all saying i guess that experience is where its at, ill be of to have a look at the zend stuff however as well.
