Indexing Mediawiki?

None of my Media Wikis get indexed

Hi all,

I use Mediawiki on two different sites, both have been running for at least 6 months now. The thing is, neither of them have been indexed. I'm guessing there's a no-robots rules somewhere in there, but I can't find it. Even worse I can't find anything on the net which tells me how to turn it off, or if that's even the problem!

If anyone has any experience with this software, and can tell me what I'm doing wrong, I'd be hugely grateful.

Thank you. :)

are you using the norobots extension [mediawiki.org]?

or any other usage of the setRobotpolicy method?

have you checked for meta robots tags in your source?
any rel="nofollow" attributes on your hyperlinks?

I don't have a robots file. I'm not using mediawiki's robots function, and as far as I'm aware there are no 'no-follow' rules anywhere.

I have seen that my main wiki page appears in googles cache, but it hasn't been assigned a rank. I can't help but feel google is penalising me in some way, and I can't figure out why.
