Do different browsers affect SE positions for major search engines

Hello Every body,

Am seeing some strange behavior of my website when m trying to find out its listing in different Browsers(Mainly IE and Firefox) for different search engines(Mainly Google)...

For a particular keyword m getting no 1 position in Google in IE and for the same keyword m getting no 7th position in Google when m checking it in Firefox....

Cannot understand why is this huge difference...same IP same datacentre...but different results in IE and Firefox...

Please do help me opt to find answer for the above problem m facing it sice days...

look for some tool that will show your request headers.
maybe your browsers are set up for different locales...

But my browser is set for the same location everywhere...
PLease do suggest other solutions....

But I have actually found out a solution...only with the help of other fellow members...who gave me the answer for it...

The reason behind it was while checking the SERP's in different browsers(mainly IE and Firefox)...if you are logged into your Gmail account then the google search in IE tends to pick up UK results...and the one in firefox tends to pick up USA results...that's why they show different results...for the same keywords...
