I'm trying to figure out about what percent of internet users have browsers or setting in their browsers that disable images from loading on websites.

I disable images on my wireless devices but not on my laptops or desktops.

I only disable images (and javascript/java) in Firefox when I'm trying to see what a screen reader like Jaws might see. Other than that I (and everyone I know) load images. I don't see much point in disabling them unless you are working over dialup... and very few do these days.

I seriously doubt that most users would have any idea that images can be disabled.

I am on dialup about half of the time and even then I prefer to wait longer, than to miss the information present in the images. There are only very few websites left on the net which are 100% usable without the images.

The only exception is when I browse with the Lynx textbrowser to see how accesible sites are for search engines and people with disabilities.
