Hello,

I am going to UK after 45 days. I am expert php developer. I wanted to add more to my skills in these 45 days. Should I practice with ASP or Oracle? My target is to get high salary in UK.

Please share your experience.

Thank you

>> expert php developer

aren't we all, maybe we're saturating the market ;)

I'm not sure it depends on the market geographically as much as market sector.

I would play with oracle and learn some *nix admin, much more useful tools than just another scripting language.

No idea about the UK market specifically, but in general I agree with jatar_k- expanding into DB makes more sense than another scripting language.

And again, I don't know th eUK market, but I woulds suspect that MySQL might be better than Oracle, especially since you're already a PHP expert and PHP meshes nicely with MySQL.

I am already with very good with marketing and sales etc I have worked as marketer before for big companies :) ...

Jatar_k's suggestion about *nix aministration is something very true. I will need more than 45 days to cover that all but I have noticed that there is a clear difference of salaries for admins.

I will concentrate on Oracle and Linux administration now. However will also cover ASP because today I worked for two three hours only and I covered a lot of ASP, it is all javascript or vbscript same concepts as any other server language has so will finish ASP within two weeks with a practical project in it.
